Taxation Sports Book
Important Notice: From 15/09/2022, PS.gr absorbs 100% of the net profits taxation for SportsBook!
How is the betslip tax amount returned to the player for Sports Betting & Virtuals?
The tax attributable to each betslip is returned to the player the following day.
From 12/7/2021 the framework regarding the player's winnings taxation and the scale of taxation are changed. According to the new legislation, any potential tax applied is now calculated on the basis of the betslip (all betting slips submitted at the same time) and not on the column as originally was.
The game begins!
The Taxation Scale of net winnings (Winnings - Stake) is as follows:
0 € | 100€ | no tax applied |
100€ | 200€ | 2.5% tax applied |
200€ | 500€ | 5% tax applied |
500€ | and above | 7.5% tax applied |
Example: A player places a €100 bet with odds 10.00. The returns are €1,000, the net winnings are €900 (Winnings – Stake = 1000 -100 = €900).
The taxation would be as follows:
First 100 € | no tax paid |
Sum between 100 € and 200 € | 2.50 € tax payable |
Sum between 200 € and 500 € | 15 € tax payable |
Sum between 500 € and 900 € | 30 € tax payable |
Total tax payable | 47.50 € |
